110 Teachers Join TELLAL’s Arabic Teacher Training
More than a hundred Arabic teachers have joined the second cohort of our Arabic ATP…
In March, 110 GEMS teachers began their studies with TELLAL, working towards the KHDA-approved Arabic Apprenticeship in Teaching Practice teaching qualification. This is the second cohort for the ATP programme, which started in February with 84 Arabic teachers.
All of the learners will attend an intensive series of face-to-face workshops and theory sessions over the next 10 months, accompanied by online learning and continual practical learning and assessment in the classroom.
Over the course of the programme, the teachers will study general theories and principals of teaching and learning, with specific emphasis on the pedagogy of Arabic language, as well as teaching and learning the Arabic language in the unique context of the UAE. Throughout the course, teachers will benefit from the specialist Arabic of our partner organisation, The Sharek Centre. And while this teacher training programme is conducted in Arabic, all teachers will receive comprehensive support with English language proficiency, alongside the core modules.
As more information is released from the Ministry of Education about Teacher Competence, teaching qualifications for experienced teachers are becoming a hot topic. Like all of TELLAL’s course, the Arabic ATP is a practice-based and practitioner-led programme, and as such the approach one that encourages collaboration among learners, and critical but constructive self- and mutual reflection. The aim of the programme is not just to provide the teachers with a rigorous and nationally recognised teaching qualification, but to equip each learner with the skills to become a more resilient, reflective, reciprocal and resourceful global teacher.
Whether you’re brand new to teaching or have been in the teaching profession for years, you’ll find teaching qualifications in Arabic and English to suit your needs and ambitions with TELLAL. Contact us to find out more.
