UAE Teacher Competence: Time to upgrade your teaching qualification?
Without the right teaching qualification, you won’t be granted your Competent Teacher Status…
The KHDA’s new teacher competence regulations mean that every teacher MUST hold a KHDA-approved teaching qualification in order to be granted Competent Teacher Status. This requirement is most likely to effect teachers who do not hold a formal teaching qualification and those teachers whose qualifications come from a university or training institute which isn’t recognised by the KHDA.
Teach On with Teach Up
TELLAL’s Teach Up Professional Practice teacher training route gives experienced and already employed teachers the opportunity to gain the essential qualifications alongside their current teaching role. As an applied, schools-based training programme, the course allows teachers to reflect on their current teaching practice, learn and apply pedagogic theory, and benefit from putting what they learn into immediate practice in the classroom.
