Virtual Learning and More: A TELLAL Update
With the news and directives changing almost hourly, we wanted to bring you a brief summary of the updates going on at TELLAL. Throughout this period we will continue to work in-line with the Government’s procedures, to help maintain educational standards across the UAE. With our proven track record of accomplishment in engagement-led online learning, we are using our knowledge to help schools navigate through this difficult time.
Virtual Learning Expansion
All schools will now be extending distance learning until the end of the academic year. Students will be relying on the expertise of teachers to deliver online and virtual learning that ensures success. The key lies in making sure students can interact effectively and engage lastingly with the materials and lessons. We are continuing to work on the expansion of our Virtual Learning Toolkit for teachers, which includes useful tips and expert advice. The toolkit is available in both Arabic and English. We know parents might also have questions about home schooling and want to do their part to help. So we have create a dual language (Arabic and English) Parent Virtual Learning Guide for them to access. In addition, our Virtual Learning Exchange blog shares expert advice from around the globe to promote and discuss best practice techniques.
As part of our efforts to help not just with training and virtual learning, but also overall wellness during these challenging times, we are excited to launch a new initiative in April. TELLAL’s Connected Community Week will kick off on 9th April and will be a week-long virtual event. The idea is to connect us together and spread positivity during this period. GEMS staff will be hosting a series of online ‘events’ from cooking classes to gym sessions. Each one will be themed to help us stay happy, healthy and at home! Anyone around the UAE can watch and take part, just visit the website to get the details.
