Farah Abu Alfa

Farah Abou Alfa is an education professional with more than 30 years of experience in education leadership, capacity building, and school reform in the MENA region. She holds a BA in Early Childhood Education and a Master’s degree in Education Management from the Lebanese American University in Beirut, in addition to advanced certificates in training of trainers, ISO lead auditing, quality management and organizational excellence from CIPD, IRCA and ASQ (American Society of Quality).
Her interest in reforming education led to her assignment in the National Committee for Lebanese Curriculum Reform in 2005, and as Education Systems Consultant in 2018. She worked as Deputy Director for the European University College Brussels in Dubai, and later was assigned to be the Management Representative of Quality. In Saudi Arabia, she led the Foundation Year in King Saud University before being assigned as a member of the Quality Committee, where she played an active role in developing policies, as well as planning and delivering training on quality systems to university staff. As an education reformer, she conducted desk and field research on various aspects of education throughout MENA, and worked on T4edu School Model- KSA. She is currently conducting her PHD research in reform policies to promote professional development in the Arab world. Farah is currently Education Manager at GEMS Education, Saudi Arabia.
