Beat the Heat: Cool Activities to try this Summer

We know many of you might be headed off to explore the world or visit home this summer, but if you haven’t scheduled all of your school holidays yet, we have some top tips for those of you who are sticking around.  There is so much to love about the summer in Dubai. Okay, we know it is very hot and those high humidity days make us all feel like escaping, but it is also a great time to stay in town.  Since the tourist numbers are lower and many people do head off on long breaks, the city is much quieter than normal which means less traffic, no queues, easy parking and some amazing deals on great activities and delicious eateries.  If you are braving the desert temperatures, we can recommend a few cooling options that will keep the whole family happy.

A different world

Conveniently located in JBR Black light Minigolf offers a unique experience that visitors will never forget.  Every inch of the park is enhanced with bright and colourful imaging and 3D black light technology so that you are transported to completely different worlds with every room.  It’s also the biggest 3D black light panorama on the planet!

A wild adventure

Only 40 minutes from Dubai, Emirates Park Zoo is actually a fantastic way to spend time during the summer.  With a mixture of indoor and outdoor attractions, there is plenty of air conditioned time, but you are also walking amongst the animals that are all covered by the advanced cooling system of the Zoo.  There are loads of fun activities, a newly-refurbished first-class Resort for staycations, and some amazing opportunities to learn about, and contribute to, animal conservation.  You can even learn how to make paper out of Elephant Dung as part of the Zoo’s extensive recycling programme.
