When a young child is immersed in an imaginary experience, suddenly a world of new possibilities and ways of being opens up that otherwise, they would not have been exposed to…Using drama with young learners makes learning concrete and allows for real life learning in real time, with real people, real emotions, real problems and real solutions. In this session, teachers will learn drama games and techniques to use holistically across all areas of learning, including storytelling techniques for online distant learning. Books will be used as a starting point to plan drama scenarios and support children’s personal, social and emotional development as well as speech, language and communication skills and get young learners moving.
