The inaugural TELLAL Teach Up iPgCPP graduation was held on Saturday 12th May 2018.
23 students from nine nationalities celebrated with their friends and families after 10 months of hard work. Each of these graduates now holds an International Professional Certificate in professional Practice awarded by the TELLAL Institute – the UAE’s only organisation to offer an apprenticeship teacher training qualification – in partnership with Liverpool Hope University in the UK.
The TELLAL Institute is committed to and is part of the national reform initiatives aimed at raising the quality of teaching across the UAE, as well as ensuring that there is a strong local supply of high quality and qualified teachers. TELLAL has designed and developed and had recognised by the KHDA three different routes which offer both national and international qualifications.
Dr. Linda Rush, the head of TELLAL, said that “This is an exciting and important moment for all our graduates. Its validates their hard work and commitment in which they have shown their passion and dedication for working with children in our schools. It also offers a new and proven opportunity for others who share the same desire and motivation. TELLAL wants to ensure that all teachers have opportunities for their own learning and development. We know too that this has to include new and aspiring teachers. Our commitment is to create new ways of achieving these goals through our partnerships with Liverpool Hope University in the UK, the KHDA and our other collaborators in this exciting and challenging programme.”
